Sirius felt Remus lean on him, and he brushed his fingers comfortingly over whatever part of him he was touching. The stairs proved difficult, but with James helping, they got Remus up without too much trouble, and without hurting him too much more. James tapped the entrance to that secret passage they had found a few years ago. A good way to avoid the stairs Sirius thought and looked over at James with an approving nod. The trek up that passage was long, but it wasn’t too hard. James and Sirius were strong, though Sirius felt he was probably taking more of Remus’ weight then James, he didn’t mind. He had made this trek with Remus alone before, and he was grateful for all the help he could get. A while later they emerged at the top of the passage, and from there the Hospital Wing was only down the hallway. Sirius and James half-carried Remus there, lowering him softly onto a bed and standing back at the matron quickly ran over, looking over Remus, healing the minor wounds with her wand quickly as she accessed the larger ones. “Good one, Prongs.” Sirius said, turning his attention to the other man beside him for a moment. He clapped him on the back, glancing back over at Remus as Madame Pomfrey bustled around him, fixing him up like she always did.
Remus was more than glad when they avoided the stairs and took the passage way. As they continued to make their way towards the Hospital Wing, Remus could feel himself slip in and out of it. Hi mind was foggy once more and he made a small grunt when he was lowered down onto the bed. He could hear James and Sirius in the background as Pomfrey muttered reassuring words as she healed his minor wounds. He could her hear tut at the worse ones and set to work. Telling him that she could only do so much with magic and the rest would have to heal themselves. Remus simply nodded as she talked and he tried to keep his eyes from closing. “Thank you.” He muttered to the other two Marauder before both the pain and exhaustion proved to be too much and he was pulled down into the darkness.
James nodded jerkily in response as Sirius patted him on the back, referring, he supposed to the passageway. He tried for a bit of a grin, but he was exhausted from all the running and the familiar concern for Moony was twisting around in his stomach. He gave Moony his best impression of a smile when the man thanked them for their efforts, and then turned to Sirius.
“How was Thailand?” he asked, going for light and cheery. “You missed a rather important development. Want to hear about it now, or later, with Moony?”
