James Potter, 17 years of age, and basically the best person you will ever meet.

Gryffindor Chaser and Captain, bloody brilliant Quidditch player, handsome, windswept, talented, clever, hilarious and altogether fun to be around. Oh, and Head Boy, as well.

Gryffindor for the cup!

Sirius nodded along with him again. “You’re right.” He said. He did want to fight. He really did. He didn’t want other people to suffer the way he had already seen too many people suffer, but the hard reality was that they were just kids. And they didn’t really know what they were doing, they didn’t really know much at all. Sirius swallowed. “Of course you’re right. This - all this shit - is going to be nothing compared to what’s waiting out there. We barley made it through this. We need to talk to Dumbledore.”

“Right,” James said, and with that taken care of, his body was begging him for sleep. It was always this way after the moon; they hadn’t slept all night, for one thing, and had instead spent it prancing about the forest. Well, James had been prancing. Remus and Sirius were more like. Loping.

Yes, James was tired.

“For now, though,” he said with a yawn. “Sleep is sounding awfully good.”

He couldn’t even bring himself to move from the chair he was in. He simply groped for his glasses, put them on the table beside Remus, and rested his cheek on his knees.

“Tomorrow,” he said. “Well. Later today. We’ll talk to Dumbledore…soon.”
